Virginia Longleaf Pine Initiative Updated:03/2023

Virginia is one of nine states receiving NRCS funding to help private landowners restore and manage longleaf pine in their state. Approved participants in the eliogible Virginia cities and counties will receive financial assistance for implementing conservation practices including site preparation, planting longleaf pine, installing firebreaks, conducting prescribed burning, and controlling invasive plants.
