Mission
To provide leadership in the Conservation and wise utilization of natural resources through education and technical assistance to various groups within the agriculture, urban and rural communities.

The Peanut Soil and Water Conservation District (PSWCD) is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia whose boundaries are Counties of Isle of Wight and Surry and the City of Suffolk. PSWCD is one of forty seven conservation districts within Virginia.  The district is governed by a 8 member Board of Directors. Six directors are elected in the general election every four years and two are appointed. Currently, the staff is composed of two employees a District Manager and Conservation Specialist.
